New members are always welcome to come along to any rehearsal. If you’d like to ask any questions

We rehearse on Wednesdays between 20:00 and 22:00 (currently suspended due to COVID-19)
What to bring to a rehearsal: Your instrument and a music stand (if you have one!)

Typically we split the rehearsal into two halves - allowing for a short refreshment break in the middle
and a chance to catch up with fellow players
Meet some of our members
Our players are a variety of standards and we encourage any rusty returners, including those who may be new to ensemble playing or more
experienced players to come and give us a go.
There are no expectations and many of our members have worked their way up from beginner to advanced level with perseverance and the
support of the orchestra.

"When I retired I was looking for a group to play with (initially I was looking for 'Big Band'). I was invited to try TLO because a Bass was needed. 22 years later... and I still enjoy the variety of music but it's the friendly crowd that really makes it!"

"I joined TLO because I just wanted to have a go at being in an orchestra and hearing other players around me. I'd not played for 40 years but everyone was so encouraging that I just kept on going. It's a whole new chapter in my life."
